An art historian and a teacher, motivated by curiosity to know their territory
from the perspective of those who inhabit it and especially those who experience it on a religious and spiritual level, with the objective
of creating a network among the various religious and spiritual realities present within it.
The need and desire to discover which religious and spiritual communities
are present in Parma and its province led them to create a digital mapping
to bring together and network these diverse realities.
Knowledge, Encounter, Respect and Peace
are the foundations of the
Parma Multi Faith project.
Culture is the fruit of the history and relationships of inhabitants, living faiths, religious institutions and spiritual associations that inhabit a city and its territory; however, these elements are not always perceived as realities that can give rise to spaces for encounter, interaction and especially sharing.
The purpose of the Parma Multi Faith project starts from the recognition of spirituality as an anthropologically innate aspect and aims at its enhancement as expressed in the various religious and spiritual communities present in the territory of the Municipality and Province of Parma.
The objective is to promote and increase the visibility of the various places and contexts of religious and spiritual realities present in Parma and its province in order to promote the spread of respect for differences and a spiritual approach to life, improve religious and cultural tourism and, above all, create a network of connections and sharing with representatives of religious and spiritual groups that have joined this project.
