Our Orthodox Community of Saints Nectarios of Aegina and John Russo began to organize itself in March 2005. At that time, Archpriest Dimitrie Doleanschii was sent to Parma to organize the parish in the Church of St. Mary Magdalene (a building belonging to the Diocese of Parma). From 2005 until November 2022, we carried out our activities in the church of Borgo della Posta, while since 2022 we have been located in our new headquarters at Via Giuseppe Giusti 4/A, in Parma.

The parishioners who make up this parish come mainly from Moldova, but there are also faithful of other nationalities such as Greeks, Italians, Romanians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians, and Georgians. The celebrations are held in various languages.
