Donne di qua e di là ODV Association

The Association was founded in Parma on December 15, 2009, to support and promote various professional and craft skills and, at the same time, to promote the role of migrant women as agents of cultural communication within the Parma community. The Association aims to strengthen the role of educational, cultural, and religious mediation that women play in their children’s lives and in the relationship between the family and the social context, taking responsibility for cultural exchange and influence within everyday relational and social life. One of the most important goals is to help women develop their human personality in all its expressions, leading them to personal autonomy.
As the President is also a recognized Minister of Worship, the Association has a spiritual help desk for religious practices and interpretation of the Holy Book.
To strengthen interfaith dialogue and create a bridge of communication between Muslim prisoners in Parma prison and the outside community, the Association offers the following services:

Spiritual counseling with the Muslim Minister of Worship-Imam/Murshida: every Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. inside the prison.

Support service for family members: by appointment on Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Via L. Testi, 4, Parma.

Help desk for women who are victims of violence or abuse: by appointment on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Via L. Testi, 4, Parma.
